 My friend saw you with another girl

She said you looked very happy

I found out who that girl was

I went numb for a second

But this is 2022 all over again

When i left for college

And almost every other day 

my friends would tell me the same

I retaliated then

But I'm way more aware now

I'm much more self focused now

I'm proud of who I'm becoming

Without you

 and will be
